Hello,
on every posts where it says written by author (admin for me), I just want to change it to say the author's nickname.
I tried several things I could think of, but it didn't work.
Please advise.

Look in your admin profile - you will need to fill in a first name or nickname or both first and last name. - save. Now you should have options for admin or nickname(s) to display in posts. It's a small dropdown.
