I have put up some ad units on the top of post . these ads appear ok when they appear on the posts.
however, on the homepage, the name of the ad unit appears - which looks very odd. i have tried all possibilties by trying to select the option of showing the ad and not showing the ad on the homepage.. pl help

    just to clarify again..
if i have named the ad as 'on top of page' and put it on a post , then on the homepage, instead of showing ads, it shows 'on top of page' and when i click on title do i see the ads

I would like to place adsense only on a select group of posts using Adsense Manager. It appears that I can do that using [ad]. I want the ads to appear on the right hand side of the post. I've set this all up all I think that I need to know is where to put the [ad]. I tried just placing it in a post and instead of operating as a function it just showed up as text.

    All thoughts are welcome.

    Thanks!

Not sure if it's the same issue, but I installed AdSense Manager and everything was working great at first. I put 2 ad units in my sidebar and all good. Then I started putting ads within the posts, which also worked great.

However, the ads stopped appearing in my site's homepage.

I searched everywhere and couldn't find an answer, to the point that I came close to just deleting the plugin. Until I realized that Google's terms or usage allow only 3 ads to be displayed in one page and the AdSense Manager plugin honors this. If you have more than 3 ads in a page, only 3 will appear, the other ones will just not show.

In my homepage, I had 2 units in the sidebar and each post had at least one. I changed the homepage to show excerpts of the posts only with no ads and the sidebar ones reappeared.

    Hopefully that helps.
