Hi All,
Somehow all my themes look funky when activated: right column falls below posts. I noticed that at the bottom of the Themes page it says that my themes are installed but broken because "stylesheet is missing." Even the Wordpress Kubrick Default has this problem.
Is there something universal I can do? I've reinstalled one of the themes and it keeps doing this. Thanks!

How much of your theme did you alter or modify?
When did this happen and was this happening before?
What was the last thing you did before encountering this problem?
One thing's for sure - you need to go back and fix some errors in the HTML coding. If you try validating your site (and granted, Kubrick won't validate too well on its own), you'll see that there are a bunch of errors in there that need to be fixed.
If everything was working perfectly fine and you posted something and the theme broke, it's because some garbage coding (I call it garbage because it breaks valid HTML coding) in your post broke the theme.
If everything was working perfectly fine and you altered something in the style.css or ANY of the php files and it broke, then something you altered broke the theme.
If you did absolutely nothing at all and your theme was working fine and suddenly went kaput, then I suggest uninstalling WP and reinstalling WP and seeing if it fixes the problem.
More than likely, though, my hunch is that some 'garbage' code is causing the screwup.

I don't believe so. This problem is with every theme in my directory. Would a small change in one style.css affect every theme?

Here's what the style.css code looks like. My URL is fabgreen.net. The right column is showing at the bottom right of the page. Happens no matter what theme I choose. Thanks anyone who has the coding expertise to look at this!

There is something wrong with your install then. The default stylesheet is there:

What should I be looking for exactly? I'm a novice to CSS. All the pages load, but the sidebar keeps dropping below the posts. Is there a specific line of code I should be looking to fix?

A change in one theme's style.css would not affect other themes.
I noticed that there are two sites, fabgreen.net and fabgreen.com. Are these both yours? fabgreen.com looks fine. fabgreen.net has problems.
Do you have two WordPress installations in the same hosting account? I'm not sure but could they be conflicting with each other?

P.S. I see that fabgreen.net and fabgreen.com have the same content so I'm assuming they are both yours. Do you have two different WordPress installations to serve the same site to two different domain names? What's the relationship between the two? How did you install fabgreen.net?
MoTStudio and moshu may well be right, and there's a problem with your install. But I've got some thoughts you might want to try looking at before making any drastic changes.
Are the other themes in your directory narrow like the default theme you're using? The reason I ask is that it looks as though you have some pictures that are too wide, and the Bookmarkify thing looks wide too. The main column is set to 450px in the CSS, so you ought to keep all fixed width content (pictures etc) less than that. The Bookmarkify thing is 475px, and some of your pictures are over 500px. What I think it means that there is sufficient room within the full page width for the side-bar, so it's getting pushed down to where there is space.
I would suggest that you try disabling the Bookmarkify plugin, and reduce the number of posts on the front page to two -- the first couple of posts pictures should fit okay. If that brings the side-bar back to where it should be, you can put the number of posts back to how you have it now, and make some adjustments to the larger pictures. And you may need to alter the Bookmarkify thing too.

^ I actually saved a copy of the page to my computer, deleted all but one post, deleted the pictures, and deleted the lines for the Bookmarkify, and it still had the problem. Though disabling the plugin might still be worth trying.
Anyway, a width problem would not account for the error she mentioned: "I noticed that at the bottom of the Themes page it says that my themes are installed but broken because "stylesheet is missing."
Another question:
What theme were you using before you switched themes and found this problem, and was that theme okay?

^ Whoops, I deleted an extra </div> when I was testing. Added it back and Kubrick looks okay. So, it might be the Bookmarkify, but that still doesn't explain the "stylesheet is missing" error. That error might show up if any one of the folders in the themes directory is missing a style.css.

yes i have two. fabgreen.com and .net. the uber goal is to have my fabgreen.com become a working self-hosted, wordpress.org site. it's currently on wordpress.com so that i can use google analytics, support ads, etc.
the posts moved over fine, but the sidebar in the wordpress.org site keeping dropping below the posts with ANY theme i choose. i'm trying to fix this problem, select the theme i'm using on wordpress.com, and redirect everything to the wordpress.org site. does that make sense?

you are geniuses! the bookmarkify deactivation seems to have done the trick -- at least in the Kubrick default.
although i'm still getting the "stylesheet is missing" message and the style.css is still shown in red on the EDIT THEMES page.
i'm still having the sidebar problem with other themes. it does look like the text and photos are extending past the main column. is there an easy way to adjust this without having to go into every post?
you have no idea how much headache you just helped relieve from this first bit. light peering through the tunnel now.

Found the culprit on the other themes: too many PAGES along the top of the site (actually two copies of CONTACT US) forced one of the PAGES to create a second line. Once I got rid of it, all the themes now work.
Thanks again for the previous advice. It's all good and I'm so happy.

Hi, Thanks for all for finding time to answer the queries. I am very new to Wordpress. I have tried various things to find the 'StyleSheet' missing error message. Still I am unable to resolse this.
I also find all the file being placed at right location..
Can some one please asssit me...?

I find that I get that "Stylesheet is missing" error and my page doesn't load correctly either in that it has no color. The template is "Disciple". The only change I have made is one suggested by the author to change the color. Still no color! What can I do? This happens with any template that I've uploaded. Could it be the browser (Mozilla-Firefox)?
