I’ve got a problem with Jetpack. (If you feel you must abuse me for asking that… well, OK, but I’ve got a problem). On several of my sites, the sharing button background images have disappeared. See http://imgur.com/qehMz3k It’s not theme dependent – It happens with 2010 through 2014, too. And on 4.0 RC3 as well as 3.9.2.

I turned off all plugins (except Jetpack) and the buttons came back. I re-activated Google Analytics (5.0.2) and the buttons went away again. The problem occurs regardless of whether the “outbound tracking” option is set.

  • Same issue with button background images except they are for internal links not sharing buttons and I don’t have Jetpack installed. It appears to be caused by this being added to button links regardless of whether “outbound tracking” is set:

    onclick=”_gaq.push([‘_trackEvent’, ‘outbound-article-‘,

Happening to me as well… however I am using custom buttons through Thesis custom functions (FB, Twitter, G+)… now only the G+ is showing on 5.0.2

    link with GA disabled:

    <span>Facebook</span>

link with GA enabled. Classes are gone. ID is gone.

    <span>Facebook</span>

I’m having the same issue as well …

    Before Plugin Activation:

    <a class="lbp_secondary cboxElement" data-lightboxplus="secondary-demo" title="Get A Quote" href="http://www.techsolved.co.uk/sales/quote/">Get A Quote</a>

    After Plugin Activation:

    <a href="http://www.techsolved.co.uk/sales/quote/" onclick="_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'outbound-widget-int', 'http://www.techsolved.co.uk/sales/quote/', 'Get A Quote']);">Get A Quote</a>

I have deactivated this for now as I’m not at the point of setting up my analytics etc. yet, but would really want to use this plugin in the near future so a fix would be fantastic!

twitter and email sharing buttons is not working since update….

I’m having the same problem on multiple sites that have Jetpack Sharing and Google Analytics by Yoast installed.

Same here. After upgrade to Google Analytics by Yoast 5.0.2, Jetpack Share button images have disappeared on WP 3.9.2. Disabling plugin restores the buttons http://www.BarTaste.com

Just saw newer version 5.0.4 and issue is resolved, thanks

    Thank you. 5.04 fixed it.

I can confirm that 5.04 of the plugin fixed the issue in WordPress 3.9.2 and 4.0.

5.0.5 has fixed it for me, thanks.

5.0.5 has fixed it for me too, thanks!
