Please help, I'm just entering the 15th hour of trying to fix this.
As I write a new post, all seems well until an image of the front page appears to the right of the editor. After that the post cannot be saved or published. I have completely reinstalled Wordpress 2.5.1 using Fantastico and manually installed 2.6. It happens in IE and Firefox and I've tried 3 different computers.
It usually takes a minute or two before the prob appears - see for yourself-

Do we all have the podpress plugin installed?
I went through disactivating/activating my plugins, including podpress and when podpress was deactivated the ability to do a new post in IE7 returned.

I haven't added any plug-ins. I assume it doesn't install with any already included???

There's nothing in it at present - I just installed it.
Having spent hours on it, I am now deperate for someone to help with a solution.

Hmmm... that reminds me of cases where the host set security too sctrict.
Try uploading a .htaccess file into the wp-admin directory (NOT ate the root!) that contains this:
<IfModule mod_security.c>
SecFilterInheritance Off
</IfModule>

Thank you, but exactly how, pls.
I know how to ftp to the wp-admin directory, but how do I create a .htaccess file?
Sorry, my knowledge level is LOW
Notepad.
Create a new file.
Copy/paste the code from above. Save.
Upload to wp-admin/.
Rename it .htaccess
Done.

And until you learn some basic website management... don't ever cry "bug".

Ahh but I got your attention! For which I am VERY grateful.
It appears you have solved the problem. There just is no substitute for knowledge.
Thank you very much!

Not really. I could have answered this earlier but I usually ignore topics where newbies talk about "bugs".
