Hello and I really love your theme.
The rendering of post and media is just great.
I am running currently p2 with a front posting plugin called status from wpmudev. This status enables me to post links with preview of thumbnail and text excerpt posted like facebook and this is great.
Now p2 works out with this status. The same with your child theme BUT there is an issue that happens with your theme not p2.
When I post a link with status your theme makes the plugin fetch and publish the preview text of the last posted link not its own. The plugin status does post rhe link and the link thumbnail but the text excerpt of the link is not its own one. Instead is published the text of the earlier posted link.
Currently I monitoring the php errors. This is a new install and I disabled all other plugins. The p2 theme instead when used as standalone does no do that. The site that is tested currently is http://kby.li/
I have that issue coming up earlier several times and maybe other plugin were the cause but here right now I see mercury doing it.

Hello. I come back with more data on the same issue.
I have done a new fresh install (http://tamaz.ga) and used different p2 themes and child (p3 as well as houston).
I have install debug bar plugin to monitor php error and the famous status plugin.
I confirm that status plugin behaves right with p2 and also p3. I also observed that with child theme houston it continued to behave right. And then again with your child theme it does the issue above.
So can’t tell if this is peculiar with that plugin or symptomatic of something else.
But I had days of work on status misbehaving and it seems to trace back to your child. Again this might be a peculiar case with that plugin.

    Hey joeymalek,

I’m really not sure why it’d work different with Mercury. The only function changes from P2 was just to remove an iPhone specific meta tag (which has since been done in P2 itself) and I added some fonts from Google.

There’s no javascript changes or other custom code that should modify plugin behavior, it’s almost all just CSS changes.

Without being able to use the plugin myself, it’s really hard to know how to test or fix it.
