First off, thanks for your efforts on the plugin… it’s quite helpful!

My site has a central forum hub that uses the [bbp-forum-index] short code. Forums that the user doesn’t have access to are hidden within the index, but since the individual forums are part of a broader category the topic and post counts are still visible. Is there any work around for this?

    What a good question !

The short answer is no, unless you hide the counts totally.

as the forum participation increases, few if any people will look at the counts, as they would never count to reconcile.

    Thanks, Robin!

I should have noted that my site is probably atypical since I use it to teach a college course. So as a new semester begins I try to hide the conversations from previous semesters.

I did find a workaround that I am happy with. I’ve created a new forum category that is always hidden to current students… the threads from prior semesters just get moved there at the start of a new one.

    Thanks again for the plugin!
