Custom post type Excerpt

    Hey is there a way to set the excerpt length for a custom post type within the plugin? or is this done through the theme?.. i have a plugin that is naturally printing the excerpt of the type, and it will only show 50 charactors and i need a 100, i’m not sure if this is the plugin for the theme?
