• Hi,

I am developing a multi site. Of course I use several plugins, like a site map plug in. When I ran a Google health check using the main site url the report did not recognise the existence of the site map. This made me question, Does anyone know whether Google is checking the multi site set up or just the main url?

Google checks the domain you tell it to check.

If you say ‘Check domain.com’ then it looks there and not foo.domain.com.

Hi Ipstenu. Err… not sure what that means. I am not that technical.

Google checks what you tell it to check.

What did you ask it to check?

I just added the main site url. All the other blogs are of course linked and called by the main site.

Linked how? In the sitemap? If so how did you do that?

Ipstenu this is the site www-roamer-educational-robot.com They are hyperlinked to various menus. The sitemap I am also having a problem with because even though I have used a plugin to create the map, Google reported no site map. I find that confusing.

You mean the /sitemap.xml ? That doesn’t have your subsites if you look at that. So that’s why.

You have to add each site, or use one for Multisite.

google should accept well because matt cutt blog is just like a multi sites
