• Hi,
My Top menu I’ve been working with for a month cannot be defined as top menu any more. When I define it as top menu and save, it returns without the top menu definition and WordPress reverts to using pages for the top menu.

If I select another menu and define it as top menu, it sticks.
I suspect somehow the menu file has been corrupted.

So my questions is: how can I duplicate it or access that file and try to correct it instead of doing it over, becaue it is huge and thanks to the way menu management is set, it takes forever to build and modify (considering I have a satellite connexion with interminable latency time – I suspect that is what corrupted the file) 🙁

    Any suggestion/help will be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Thanks Richie,

I don’t know if the menu is corrupted or what.

When I add certain items and save, the site reverts to the default “pages are menu items” menu (e.g. on the front end, the top menu become the pages and their hierarchy) and in the back-end, the last few items of the top menu have disappeared from the menu and it is not the “top menu” (the check mark for that disappears).

I can’t make sense of it and I’m not sure if it has to do with WP or Mesocolumn, or a limit to the number of menu items for the top menu or…

I’ll probably re-create a new menu (with he same items) in the hope to solve this, but if anyone has insight on this, please, by all means, educated me 🙂

By the way, I put the site online last night at http://wentworth-nord.ca. If you want to see where the problem is, let’s just say I can’t add anything to the second to last to-menu item (Trois Villages à découvrir). If I do, everything below Trois Villages à découvrir disappears, including the “Nous contacter” menu item.
I can’t add anything under “Nous contacter” either.

    It’s very strange.

    That menu is still problematic.
I’ll rebuild it completely and if it is a corruption, that should solve it. If it’s just because the menu is too huge, then I’ll need a different solution.
Now that you have seen the site, do you think it might be because the menu is too large?

try create a new one, don’t delete the problem menu tho.
make a random new 3 level dropdown menu and see if it work.
