Newb here…Just started a blog for my office at http://www.duwestblog.org.

The site looks great on Firefox, Chrome, Safari, but when it is pulled up on Explorer everything is a jumbled mess. I know most people don’t use Explorer, but need site to work across board.

Have some HTML experience. Thanks ahead of time.

    Hey thanks for using Ignite!

Ignite has been tested on many browsers and we’ve chosen to support Internet Explorer 9 and up. We understand that IE8 and below still hold about 4.5% of browsers, but by not supporting these older browsers we are able to provide a faster, more responsive experience on newer browsers.

Ben, thanks for getting back to me.

Hmm that is odd. I’ve just checked our demo site and your site in IE11 on Windows 7 and 8 and I can’t recreate the issue (screenshot).

Could you try checking our demo site to see if it is also messed up?

Okay I was able to recreate the issue. What’s happened is that the site is being viewed in “Compatibility Mode” on your browser. This renders the page as IE7 would which then breaks the site due to unsupported features.

Here is a short tutorial on turning on/off compatibility mode.

For most users, they are not viewing your site in compatibility mode, so it is displaying properly.
