• This plugin in works so easily and so well. It’s easy to learn how to use the various options, and the appearance on the page is really nice.

I had hoped the magazine layout would enable me to place the different posts in a line horizontally next to each other, but that may be possible with CSS – which I haven’t tried (yet). But for my purposes, I was able to achieve the effect I wanted using widgets (and I suspect placing different parameters in a table would probably achieve this as well – although I haven’t tried that yet either). But, if the horizontal layout worked out of the box I would definitely give this plugin five stars.

Oh, and the response from the developer is very quick and helpful. If I could give 4.5 stars, that would probably be closer to my rating. 🙂

    Thanks.

To place the posts horizontally, you will need some custom css to float the posts to the left, setting the width, margin, and padding to control the number of posts to fit next to each other.

There is an undocumented feature (and thus unsupported – have not fully tested) to change the div for the post wrapper: the default is post-wrapper=tpg-get-posts-post. Using the field_classes=”post-wrapper=mynew-wrapper” will override the default.

I have not determined a good way to build the horizontal float into the basic plugin and so it is all custom at this time. Hope this gives you some ideas.
