Getting slider above blog content in X theme

I’ve been trying to get the Revolution slider to work above the blog content in x theme. Currently, I have to create a landing page that will display the slider and use short code to display the 4 more recent posts. However, this display is not pleasing to the eye… when you click the “load more” link I’ve provided, which just goes to the blog page, the way the posts are displayed looks perfect! But, I can’t get the slider to display above it!

Any help would be appreciated!
