I really like the form when it works but this is the issue I have been having. Everytime WP updates to a new version, the form no longer appears on the page it should be on. The error is “Contact Form Shortcode Error: Form 2 does not exist”. Until now this was fixed by simply updating the plugin. This last time however it has not recovered the form and consequently it isnt working. Any thoughts on getting this working correctly? Also, are there any thoughts on fixing the issue with the updates to WP effectively crashing the plugin until it is fixed?

  • Hi gateruner can you share your shortcode here.

That message “Contact Form Shortcode Error: Form 2 does not exist”. is letting you know that Form 2 is not available. Do you know if you have changed the form or created a new form?

I ended up getting it to work. I did not make any changes to the code at any point. What it took to get it functioning this time was to go in and save the form, copy the code and replace the code that was on the page. Its wierd that I copied the same code back in and it worked. MAybe it was saving the form again. IDK? The concern I have with it is that every time there was a WP update it would not work unless the plugin updated. So I would lose my contact form until I figured that out. Unfortunately, I cant have that issue going on so I have decided to use a different form. Frankly I find yours much better with the exception of this issue.

gateruner, none of those symptoms are normal. Also it is not typical of this plugin to do that.

I suggest checking the health of your wordpress install, such as temporarily enabling wp debug and checking memory usage to see if any problems are revealed. I have a help page for that stuff:
