When I viewed the links my visitors clicked on my site thru the WP dashboard, I saw one that I wanted to look at. When I clicked I saw the link no longer worked. Is there an easy way to find where within my blog that link appears? Pushing 200 posts now, it’s not a simple task to guess where I put that link originally?
Any way to run a report on the entire blog to search out other broken links?

  • If you are using Firefox than I would highly suggest getting the Web Developer Add On.

It is extremely useful for all sorts of website checks, including a link checker. There is also an option that will display the full path of links, images etc. It also has stuff for cookies, css, forms, information, miscellaneous, outline (objects on page), resize, tools (link checker in here), view source or generated source, and various validation checkers.

I’m not sure if this available for IE.

The Firefox add-on, which I have, but never used, works great, but only a page at a time. So for a ‘page’ that I had which was full of links, this worked well. (thanks!) Any suggestion how to do this site-wide?
