wordpres.org ? I thought "they" only host the source of wordpress. Did you move your blog from wordpress.com to you own site ? If so check .htaccess and wp_options in the database. If not please be more clear what you did :)
    cheers

    thanks tagging

yes, moved from eminiwizard/wordpress.com to eminiwizard.com

a friend installed wordpress platform (into self hosted 1 and 1)for me

files were transferred from the wordpress.com site and now i can access and edit those posts.

I cannot write any new posts, as the computer locks up when I click the "write new post" function. I have to alt/control/ delete

I will check your suggestion, thank you

Being older and technically challenged, I asked my daughter for advice since I still haven't made any progress.

She suggested I try mozilla firefox as my browser. I was using IE6. First try I was able to write. Although a "scripts" error comes up, it will still allow me to write.

    Progress!

Two steps forward, one back. Seems to be the way life works.

Hope this helps others that are having a similar problem.

i think i found the solution, i had tested it and it works faster now

if successfully load the write a post page after a long of freezes, press the 'custom field' option down there

and for me, a long list pops up,

i don't know much about writing a script but i sit there and keep on deleting those custom fields, some few hundreds of them because i imported my old posts from the previous box.

and after that, everything is fast again!

    happy trying.

please tell me if this method works for you!

    Thanks for your post Peanut.

I had a friend take a look, and he found a few bugs from the wordpress.com import. Works fine now on IE6 as well.

    Thanks again for your assistance.
