Support » Plugin: Authenticator for WordPress » Displaying Authenticator for users on Custom Profile Plugin

  • Awesome plugin. My site, I have made everything front-end so am not using default wordpress profile page. Instead, I am using a “User Meta” plugin to create a custom profile section and for obvious reasons, user meta does not recognize the new profile fields created by this authenticator plugin.

Is there a simple way to either have it compatible with user meta so the field is shown, or just have this plugin’s independent shortcode that can be used to bring up authenticator related profile fields with it’s own submit form, independent of default WP profile page?

Thank you for the awesome plugin.

First thing I’d try is to create the user meta fields with the plugin you’re using and set the fields names as they are in the WordPress profile page. If the User Meta plugin uses the names as you set them (no prefix or customizaiton), it might work. Otherwise it will require further investigation.

    Thanks for your support!

Hello Dev. Julien. Sorry I did not know you had replied to this.

I’m not exactly sure what you mean, or what the field name is as they are in WP profile page. Could you provide more specifics?

I’m using user meta plugin to create a front-end profile page, but not really associating this google authenticator setting with user meta other than wanting it to be displayed on the same page.

Since user meta only creates form fields, and this plugin has a template already in place as displayed on WP profile page. I’m just wondering a way to display this authenticator setting section on any page using a shortcode of somesort.

    Thank you very much!
