• I was excited to come across WooCommerce for my needs, and I have purchased their Booking and Points extensions (relatively expensive at $300, plus more extensions I will need, plus customization, in order to make these work for me).

So far, I am rather underwhelmed by Support, especially given how relatively expensive the extensions are. The forums are full of mostly unanswered questions, and I find forums the best support tool since often others have experienced the same issue as you and you can often find an instant solution rather than having to submit a support ticket.

So far, submitting a support ticket results in at least 2 days in between responses, which is highly inefficient especially given the back-and-forth that is generally needed to solve a problem. Furthermore, given all the products they have, their documentation and forums are very difficult to browse or search; not organized as well as they should be.

I’m seriously considering giving up on WooCommerce, which is a shame because they otherwise seem to have a lot of the products that could be useful for me.

I recommend people also check out Easy Digital Downloads for a similar customizable WP eCommerce platform. While I was unable to use them (don’t have booking plug-in I need), there support was so much better (great forums and very responsive, even by their main management) and their pricing better across the board.

I’m not the only one disappointed, at least with the Bookings extension:

I posted a screenshot of a community forum thread here:

Hope WooCommerce steps it up soon. Bookings has potential, but it needs some attention; right now, it’s hurting the WC reputation.
