• Hi,

As with most people who have posted topics here I am using Contact Form 7 and Download Monitor with Email Before Download.

Ideally I would have a form on a landing page where once entering their contact information (name & email), visitors would receive the download link to a file I have uploaded.

I have set everything up according to all the descriptions and guides available online but I can’t get it to work. Originally I thought it was the captcha that I was using. After entering all contact information and the captcha (correctly) it would state that “Your entered code is incorrect., and then under the send button it states “Validation errors occurred. Please confirm the fields and submit again.”. However, an email is still sent out from the contact form so I know that an error didn’t occur.

I thought the issue might be because of the captcha, so deleted that from my form. After filling in contact information again and clicking send, it states that “Your message was sent successfully. Thanks.”. However, no download link appears.

What can I do to try and fix this? I have tried looking in the other topics but so far nothing has worked.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Hello,

Thank you for you interest in using our plugin. Could you please provide us with a link to a test page that has a shortcode for both Download Monitor and Contact Form 7 working on their own as well as the shortcode for EBD?

    Hi!

I don´t know if I´m having the same problem but it sounds similar:

The email is sent, but <I> get the email, not the user. I´ve followed the youtube instructions to the letter, <except:>

That the ‘add file’ button in the ‘new download page does not react, and I am not able to attach a file.

I don´t see how these are connected

Here is the link for the landing page I am working on with EBD: http://southside.edu.hk/go/info-pack/
I have not finished creating the page so it is still a work in progress. I was wanting the plugins to be working as expected before finishing the content.

Contact Form 7 can be seen in the contact us page on our website: http://southside.edu.hk/kindergarten/contact-us/

Lastly, I have created a test page that uses Download Monitor: http://southside.edu.hk/download-monitor-test/

Thank you for taking the time to help me with my issue and hopefully it is a quick fix

    hi ajr888,

We actually needed to look at the page for CF7 with the same ID you will use for EBD. Since the form is appearing properly we can at least assume that your EBD short code if correct.
But from the page where EBD is nested we concluded that Ajax is not working on it. This page also fires a javascript error after loading, which might (or not might) have something to do with the error.
So it would be good if you provide us the test page for the correct CF7 form. You can also make sure it is working with Ajax as well.

    Thank you for your response.

I have created a test page with the same contact form to be used in the landing page: http://southside.edu.hk/contact-form-7-test/

I added in a captcha to the contact form to try and see what the issue is with that as the form submits successfully but it says that an error has been encountered.

Hopefully this gives you all the information you need to let me know how to fix it

    Thanks!

    Hello,
That link confirmed our suspicions. There is an issue with CF7 and ajax. The page is being reloaded and shouldn’t. This is an issue you will have to sort out with CF7. Once that issue is resolved, we will be happy to help if you are having problems with EBD
