   Hi, I've got some very computer-shy members who are "authors" and we're looking for a friendlier dashboard for them. Will this plugin help?

   That plugin you mentioned is a nice one, but not really used for hiding the confusing Dashboard from your Authors.

   Unfortunately, I can't use it. I've got WP 2.5.1, not 2.6, and I'm wary of upgrading.

   I'm wary about upgrading too but unfortunately the reality is, you probably really should do it.
