  • Hi. download XAMPP from the offcial site. Then download the latest wordpress file.

Now You have to unzip both of them. You will have to place the XAMPP folder into your wordpress directory drive. Usually its C: drive but many differ.

Now put your wordpress folder into XAMPP >> htdocs folder. Now you will have to find xampp-control in XAMPP folder and have to start the MYSQL and Apache. Once you do you you can open us localhost on your browser.

Then you need to follow the steps written in codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress#Famous_5-Minut
    also u can refer:
download XAMPP from the offcial site. Then download the latest wordpress file.

There are also Bitnami installations ready to use, but also those have bugs!

Most guides for installing locally are a “nothing to do”. Tried too many but in end I had to do by myself.

XAMPP is the easiest way to try any CMS in Local Computer. The steps are:

    • Download XAMPP
    • Extract XAMPP, Run Setup inside the XAMPP folder
    • Copy WordPress Folder inside XAMPP>htdocs
    • Run StartXampp.exe
    • Open your Browser and type: localhost/wordpress-4.0
    • Do the installation as instruced
    • GOOD Luck
