I moused over the top update icon and saw the tip that said “Translation Updates”.
I thought the update was a core update as it said “An updated version of WordPress is available.” Sorry about that. If the translation area had an update number or mark it would be great.

No, I just loaded a full fresh copy of the beta version onto my server. Is it better to use the plugin?
Ah, no, I was just checking what we were debugging. Don’t bother with the beta plugin unless you want to.
Translation Updates makes sense, and is the same answer I told you before. it’s becuase the versions are out of sync. It will, eventually, catch up.

Update ^^: Now the translation update has the correct message and it says it works, but after clicking on the update language button and waiting for the update to finish it refreshes but still thinks it needs the same update. So the update icon remains at the top of the site in the admin bar.
