    I want to use Events Manager for a guild website. Most events will be within a game.
    I want to edit locations to be within the game with game maps (instead of real-world locations).
    Also, I want to customize user bookings to include several fields of specific user data per event (name, character, class etc etc)
    Can this be done with the free version of the plugin, or am i required to get the pro version?

  • There’s nothing in the Pro version that’s connected with these types of customizations.

    However, you’d probably need to do some custom coding to make them work with the free version of Events Manager. If you can give us a little more info on what you need to do we should be able to point you in the right direction.

    As i said in my earlier message, i’m developing a guild website. I want to use Event Manager and i need it to so the following:
    i will be creating (mostly) guild and game events for the MMORPG Star Wars The Old Republic.
    i want to use in-game maps & coordinate reference (instead of google real world maps).
    For each event, when a user books, i want them to be able to enter character information (name, class, role, level etc).
    i also need this information to be displayed in a css table format and some of that info in a widget.
    Some of the events & event information will also need to be entered by users via the front-end.

    Replacing Google Maps might be quite tricky, unless you just to want to replace Maps with straight-forward images.

    The custom user fields can be done by editing the templates (in the Pro version there’s a Forms Editor that means no coding is required).

    The other display options should be quite easy to do, though some custom coding might be needed.

    ok, so if i go with the pro version for the forms editor, what else do i get that’s not in the free version?

    what steps will i need to take (what specific file do i need to customize to take out google maps & insert static imagery?

    regarding on the map, can you explain abit more on what are you trying to achieve? eg. do you want to change the map on the frontend only?

    Instead of typing a real location and having a google map come up, i need to be able to enter a location that exists only within the game, and manually place a static image/map.

    i upgraded to pro last night and started config/testing.
    when i created a test event, with a custom booking form, that form did not come up on the user booking page(?)

    however, maybe because you are logged-in that is why it does not show?
