WordPress VS Joomla // Quickstart themes?¿

    Hi, Im using Joomla at the moment. My idea was to use a free template and modify that to my needs, but Ive found out(I think) that free templates in Joomla arent what they seem. They dont give you the look of the template(ie. modules, columns, etc..)

    Is it Possible to Start using wordpress with a Complete free theme with all the content(ie modules etc) laid out and modify this?¿

    Would like to use something like that till I get the hang of wordpress

    And what exactly separates WordPress and Joomla?

    There are thousands of free wordpress themes that are ready to use out of the box if what you want is a wordpress blog. The primary difference between WP and Joomla is that Joomla is designed as a CMS and WP is a blogging platform that just happens to be flexible enough to be customized for use as a CMS. If you’re planning to use it that way, you need to be prepared to get your hands a little dirty.
