Hey there,
Not totally sure what you want here.
You want to hide posts showing when they’re in a specific category?
If so then a membership type plugin should help:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/membership/
Doesn’t have to be a premium membership you offer, they can be free.
Or are you wanting to hide the links to specific categories?
Looking at your site I wasn’t totally sure what you’d be referring to, could you please clarify further?
Take care.
I don’t want blog posts under the “Timeline” category to show on the blog for anyone else. I only had to create those posts in order to create the different events for the timeline in the about page.
Thus, I’m trying to avoid having those show in the actual blog, for viewers to see as a separate post.
Make sense?
Hey again,
In that case you’d need to edit the WP loop for the blog, you can read more on that here:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/query_posts#Exclude_Categories_From_Your_Home_Page
And you’ll probably want to take a look at an article that Tom wrote recently:
http://tommcfarlin.com/exclude-categories-from-wordpress-loop/
This should help you achieve what you need. 🙂
Take care.
