I’ve installed membership lite plugin and it’s really excellent. Much better than emember by tipsntricks.

I have not however been able to get the mask url working. I’ve read the tutorials but still is not working. And I have a lot of content so was hoping this was a simple solution to mask my 10,000 photos.

It is my understanding that the following is all I need. Setting up the options under Membership/Options/Download/Media

    Protection Method: Basic Protection
    Your Uploads Location: http://archenemys.com/wp-content/uploads/
    Masked Download URL: http://archenemys.com/vip

  • Hi @nate,

I hope you’re well today, thanks for posting here! 🙂

Great to see you like the plugin, let’s see about this url masking issue! Could I ask if you’ve tested that as a user with the appropriate access level?

Also, does the access level you’re using for that have the Downloads rule added?

    Cheers,
    David

Yes, I am logging in as a test user with vip privileges.

Yes, the access level was added to the download rule but it locked everyone out from actually seeing content.

My content protection is working perfectly. But masking doesn’t work.

I was under the impression that all I had to do to mask urls was go to Membership/Options/Downloads&Media
Select Basic Protection, uploads location, my masked url name

and that thats it. All content in my wp-content/uploads folder would be masked to http://archenemys.com/whatevernameigive/

Is this not how it supposed to happen?

    Hi @nate,

    Thank you for your reply.

You have to also create Protected group( If it doesn’t exist or you want to use any other group than default ) and assign it to medias in media library as displayed in the following video tutorial.
