Redux covers everything you’ll need to use to come up with a great theme that takes a load off your user’s shoulders. I used SMOF but have since migrated; Redux came with two distinct advantages, Full GPL & use of a single conf file to configure all you need to change {hence portability}. My SMOF customization had morphed so much, I had to stop and think sometimes when re-creating some bits.
