I wouldn’t recommend downgrading, but if you want to avoid WordPress from being automatically updated then you’ll have to edit the wp-config.php file by adding this line of code:
define( 'WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE', false );
Now, what theme are you using?
Your theme styles were overwritten with the new update. Do you have your site backed up on a regular basis? If so, I can help you.
I’m using Scope by Scroup
Version: 1.0
By wpsmart
I don’t think it is backed up? Do I have to do that manually?
If it is not backed up, you’ll have to contact the theme author directly about this issue.
@glutenfreegal: Ask GoDaddy to restore a backup, if they have one, to roll back your site.
You should have your own backups for these kinds of situations and for security; try http://wordpress.org/plugins/backwpup/
Or try GoDaddy’s managed WordPress hosting, where they handle everything for you: http://www.godaddy.com/hosting/wordpress-hosting.aspx
@songdogtech: Hey sorry about that, I did not mean to seem like I was soliciting work. Newbie! Wasn’t sure how people answered others issues.
@creativemouse, you don’t have to say, “I will help out” as you just can answer their questions directly on here.
@creativemouse: that’s fine, you can help; check out http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome for some background.
like, instead of having two columns on my homepage I now only have one single and I no longer have menus at the top and I have no side widgets anymore either. all my content is still there it just isn’t showing
For that, you’ll have to contact the theme author.
If you are making any theme changes then make sure you are using a child theme first.
(have bookmarked your site, am cd myself)
