   Cookies for Comments can block trackback spam or not or only block comment spam

   and

   If it can block trackback, how it know between trackback spam and my own trackback (other entry in same blog that link to another)

   To block spam - use antispam plugins.

   Cookies for Comments can not block trackback spam. Only comment form spam.

   Use the Simple Trackback Validation plugin to block trackback spam.

   now i use cookie for comments and simple trackback validation plugin

   but simple trackback validation plugin seem compatible up to 2.2.1 only, is it okay to use if i use wordpress 2.6.2

   will the developer stop to develop this project

   It works fine for me with 2.7-hemorrhage.
