Does anyone know if Adobe Muse can be used to create WordPress themes? If not what easy to use wysiwyg program can create WordPress themes? What programs do people use to create WordPress themes anyway? Can Dreamweaver do so? I have been googling but everything seems a bit too complex right now. I want to make my own themes.

  • There are blank themes that have all the necessary files and you basically create them from scratch using their existing template structure. This process is more complex than finding an existing theme though. Try googling blank wordpress themes

The files can be modified in any text-editor. Dreamweaver works as well.

There are wordpress themes that are more drag and drop friendly and if you’re unfamiliar with code that is probably the best solution.

I need to know specifically if this process works with Adobe Muse as that’s what I want to make my themes with using these blank themes. Reason being: someone told me that Adobe Muse doesn’t work with wordpress. Is this true or false?

I love Muse because it is mostly drag and drop although I will be learning code next month at a web design class but wysiwyg is my thing and Adobe Muse is wysiwyg and drag and drop. The person told me that they don’t work together but Muse is a text editor and if i can create accordion sliders and all this cool stuff for regular websites.

I need to know if it can modify blank or existing wordpress themes so I can put them together and use on my wordpress blogs or even Joomla or Drupal sites. Please respond soon and if you can give a site where I can do this with Muse please provide the URL here as well. Many thanks. 🙂

You should be asking this question on the Adobe Muse Support Forums… they would have more info than most wordpress users.

But the bottom line is :

It can be done but you will need a good understanding of HTML, CSS and PHP to get it to work.
