  • Way too much going on. It takes a long time to load, and I feel like my head is going to explode from all the flashing ads. Is it really necessary to include bookmark links for every site in the known universe after every post? On the plus side, The Meet Naughty Women ad gives it a touch of class.

honestly, do ads fall under the realm of content, when we are asked to review sites? The docs say to avoid commenting on ‘content’ — but I think ads are outside of content….so….

this could be a nice site. you have a great domain name, and you know this since youre trying to take advantage of it with all the ads. Unfortunately, to those with a brain, and there are a few of us out there, the ads and that there are so many are going to turn people off.

If you are looking just to make money, you can expect that the other 99% of the internet w/o a brain will probably click on some links. In which case, well done.

I agree with whooami, the ads are not relevant to the site. Keep in mind that less than 1% of your visitors will click an ad – unless you throw the ad in between visitors.

Kudos on the domain name – almost better than my moldytoast.com. LOL.

I will minimize the ads. Commenting on content would be nice. I am not sure whether the content I create is good. I did have a comment from one of the game creators about a post I did for their game and they did like it.
Sadly I do not have as much of control over the ad content. The only ones I can control are from google and the buttons I have on the side. I will get rid of the rest though.
    Thank You.

The name of your site does not match the URL.

    Header: PC Gamer’s Place
    URL: pcgamerplace

    That aside..

Why do I want to download your toolbar? This is the first thing I see, and its a robot on a scooter. Is this robot going to be on my toolbar? It’s Free and Secure. Good. I like that. But what does it do?

I reloaded the page without AdBlock running, and I agree with the other posters, the animated ads are rough. I know they offer more money, but that’s because they take over the site visually. I also question the decision to place google ads in the *middle* of a post as is being done in “Writers Needed”. Sidenote: if your target demo is the hardcore gamer crowd how many of them are running AdBlock? Just a thought.

The layout seems to be having trouble. “Contact Us” has bumped down to the second line, and the second line of nav is pushed down and has a white line going through it. (FFox3, Mac).

The toolbar does not have the robot on the scooter. It’s a basic toolbar that includes some links for the site itself, feeds from few gaming related sites a radio button and a few other extras.

I am not sure why You see the page so messed up. Might be difference in screen resolution. Mine is 1280×1024. I guess I should run some testing for other resolutions.
    Thank You.
