I am new to WordPress but have experience with HTML and CSS. I want 2 or 3 sliding images for the header and I want them to link to a page. Do I use a plug in for this?

I was looking to add something like the link above. Would I edit the Header.php? If so since I am using the child theme do I add the header .php to the child theme? I am not sure how to do that.

Usually plugins do all the job, most likely you will not have to change anything in header.php.

But of course first try and see how it goes.
