• Having a little problem here, wondering in what order and where do I upload these plugins. Here is what I want to do. I want to create a membership site where users can register to sign up for a new blog which they have to pay monthly for.

There will be two users levels and they will see different settings when they log in . For instance one level will see export settings and the other will not.

    I downloaded

    PMP
    PMP Network Site Helper
    and PMP Network Subsite Helper.

I am unsure where to activate the SUBSITE helper

I am also using a plugin called Adminimizer which allows you to turn off settings for different user roles but when I try to make changes i see nothing on the client end, everything looks the same. I am assuming the subsite helper is suppose to help the NETWORK site HELPER which I only have activated on my main site the same with PMP .

    Can anyone help me?

I guess no one wants to help!

Sorry for the delay. FYI we don’t check these forums as often as the member support forums, so if you need a quick response, please sign up and post there.

    > I am unsure where to activate the SUBSITE helper
The Network Subsite helper should only be used if you want to use the same membership settings from the primary site on every other site on the network (this will also remove any membership menus from subsites). If you want each site to have it’s own settings, you don’t need this plugin at all.

    Does that answer your questions?

    Thanks,
    Jess

Yeah that helps me, though I am unsure now whether I can use your set of plugins at all now which is a shame as I can’t seem to have different permissions for different users on the site. I will keep trying another way.

Setting up multisite networks like this takes a lot of work. The PMPro Network plugin is meant to be a good head start for doing these kinds of sites.

PMPro will work with other custom code or plugins to manage permissions and roles. You might want to use them together.

Based on what you’ve shared so far, I don’t think you would want to use the pmpro network subsite helper plugin. You typically would use either pmpro-network OR pmpro-network-subsite-helper, not really both.
