    Hey Eleanor,

The plugin doesn’t come with a built-in widget, so the easiest way to add it to your widget area is just to use the standard built-in ‘Text’ widget and then just place the [instagram-feed] shortcode inside of it. If you drag the ‘Text’ widget into your footer and then add the shortcode then that should then display your feed.

Let me know whether that works for you or if you have any other questions.

    Hello,

Where do I find the short code?

I added [instagram-feed] into the text box but it does nothing. Do I need to point my site to instagram or something.

    Hey Kiera,

If you’ve entered your Access Token and User ID then you should just be able to use the shortcode to display your photos. Could you tell me the Access Token and User ID that you’re using and send me a link to you Instagram page?

    Thanks Kiera,

Thanks for the email. I was able to display your posts on my test site. It looks like the issue is that you’re using the shortcode in a part of your site which doesn’t support shortcodes. This is likely because the theme you’re using doesn’t support shortcodes in its widgets. If it did then you wouldn’t see the [instagram-feed] text, you would see your actual Instagram feed. Could you try putting the [instagram-feed] shortcode into a page or post instead to see whether shortcodes are supported there?

    John,

Thanks that solved it. I just gotta get a new theme. This one supports nothing..you can put it down as a problem solved

No problem. Glad to hear that I could help figure out the issue.

If you have any other questions or issues in future then just let me know,
