My question is in regards to this most recent iteration’s changelog item – “show admin notice if the membership setting is turned off”.

I am using this plugin in tandem with s2Member, so I have the ‘Anyone can Register’ setting turned off. I looked at the code from the latest update and cannot see where this would cause the plugin to behave incorrectly.

My assumption is that default WordPress funcationity would restrict new registrations if the ‘Anyone can Register’ setting is turned off. Am I correct in assuming that the subsequent notice I am receiving is simply a courtesy and not indicitive of breaking the plugin’s functionality?

Thank you so much for making this awesome plugin. I have been using it for a couple years now and have been loving the functionality. The code in this latest iteration is especially elegant.

  • Thanks for the question. In your case, you do not need the registration setting turned on because you are using a plugin that makes this possible. It is simply a courtesy to show the message and can easily be turned off.
