I think GEO my WordPress looks great, but I can’t figure out how to get in on my WordPress (org) site.
I’ve installed the plugin. I can see there are forms. I’ve added the GEO for posts. Then i’m stuck. I’ve googled but can’t find anything. Is there a beginner’s guide for how to:
    -Add location to posts.
    -Display a map on a post/page
    I appreciate help.

    Hi,
I know that the docs of GEO my WP are incomplete at the moment but it is a work in progress. I am updating the docs between new versions of the plugin, bugs fixes, developing add-ons and so on.

Some basics docs you can find here .
You can also find some information as well as post questions, feedback, bugs report and so on in the official forum of GEO my WP.

To start using GEO my WP you should follow the steps below:
    1) After installation of the plugin you should go to the add-ons page of GEO my WP ( Dashboard -> GEO my WP -> add-ons and activate at least one of the two free add-ons. “Post types Locator” to be used with post types and/or “Members Locator” add-on if to use with BUddyPress.

    2) If using Post types go to the “Settings” page of GEO my WP and under the “post Types” tab check the check-boxes of the post types you want to use. This is how you add Geo my WP section to the “Edit Post”.

    3) Say you want to add location to “Post” post type and you checked its check-box on step 2. Now go create a new post or edit an existing one and you should see GEO my WP section on that page. Using that you can add geolocation to the post.

    4) After creating location you should go and build a form using the form builder dashboard -> GEO my WP -> Forms. When done creating it you can grab the shortcode of the search form and paste it into any page where you want to display the search form. You can also use a widget to display the search form in the sidebar.

    5) To display a post’s location information which includes a map and some additional information you can use the shortcode [gmw_single_location] in a post content or within a template file. More information about the shortcode and other short codes you can find under dashboard -> GEO my WP -> shortcodes.

That is very basic and in short. GEO my WP has a lot to offer, it is very advanced and flexible and can be confusing/intimidating at first. Please do not hesitate to ask any question and I will be happy to help/guid you to the solution.

    Thank you

    Hello Eyal,

I am having the same issue I think. The problem I have is that clicking Activate Add On for Post Types Locator – does nothing. It will not activate, regardless of how many times I click it.

Are you aware of this or a solution for it?

    Hi Paul,
I am aware of this issue but unable to provide a fix at the moment. Take a look at this link ( https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-not-working-at-all-10?replies=2#post-7185917 ) for a temporary solution.

    Thanks.
