Upgrading to 2.6.1?

    Hi guys,

    I have no idea which version of WordPress I’m using, but when I go to /upgrade.php, it tells me it’s upgraded, yet when I return to the dashboard, it’s still the same old WordPress.

    Am I going to completely obliterate my WordPress if I reinstall the latest version of WordPress over the top of my current version?

    Upgrading is not THAT easy 🙂

    You have to download the newest version and follow these instructions.

    Log in to your Dashboard, scroll to the bottom of the page, the WordPress version number you are using is shown in the footer.

    Not if he needs to upgrade. Rather just visit the blog and look for the “generator” information in the source.
