    Hi.

I have a multi-site implementation, with BP installed on one (the only) site. I’ve downloaded and installed the plugin on the network, and activated it on my site. But I can’t seem to access the plugin to change things (it is the avatar specifically that I need to change for certain users). Any ideas why this might be?

    Thank you.

This plugin doesn’t allow you to do that, baldarab. As the description says, all it does is “replaces the default BuddyPress XProfile Name field with two fields called (surprisingly) First Name and Last Name. These field values are kept in sync with the corresponding WordPress user profile fields as well as the BuddyPress XProfile Name field itself.”

If you want to change a user’s avatar, go to their profile page and edit their avatar from there.

OK. I was told by my developers to use this plugin (as I can’t change it in the native environment from the profile page). I told them exactly what you just told me, and they said they were using it to change avatars! I will go back to them – sorry to waste your time.

No problem, but you really should be able to change other users avatars if you’re the site admin. I’d ask your devs about that if I were you.
