• Please provide some guidance with this problem…

Although I’ve updated WordPress (v3.9.1), Nextgen-Gallery (v2.0.66.16), all other plugins and checked the hosting settings,I’m somehow not able to upload images since a week.

Internet explorer comes up with this error after a upload attempt:
An unexpected error occured. This is most likely due to a server misconfiguration. Check your PHP error log or ask your hosting provider for assistance.
    0 images were uploaded

Chrome comes up with this error after a upload attempt:
    Upload complete
    0 images were uploaded

For a few seconds a little yellow warning sign shows up and the ALT Text reads HTTP Error.

I’ve tried 777 and 755 for the upload folder and sub-folders.
I’ve tried Apache, CGI and fasCGI as run mode.
I’ve tried PHP safe on and off
I’ve changed the permalinks (as reffered to in an other support ticket)
I’ve tried small (30kb, jpg) images, multiple images, and larger images which I could succesfully upload about a month ago.

@rgamst – What has changed on your site in the last month since you were able to upload images successfully? This would be the first place(s) I would suggest looking at.

    Thanks!

@photocrati – that’s a good one. Nothing changed the last month. No new updates, new plugins, code changes or what so ever. Only new posts…

There might is something changed on the server which I do not controll myself. I spoke to the provider and it seems notingh is changed.

    Any guidance…

@rgamst – Hmm … well if something works and then stops but nothing changed since it worked then I’m not sure what I can tell you.

The plugin would not have just stopped working for no reason a month ago since we have been on the same version for well over a month. Although we did just release a new version this week, you noted the issue has been going on for a month which would indicate it was happening prior to the new release.

Which version did you update from?

    – Cais.

I’m having the same problem as well. I deactivated the newly installed plugins but the http error persisted. I’ve been able to upload images last week.

ahh never mind, there were apostrophes in the filename. i forgot this plugin hates this.. hehehe

@cloudduster – Yeah, we’re still working on the little quirky things like that as well.
