Someone keeps getting blocked by Akismet

    I don’t know why but Akismet keeps catching one of my regular readers as spam when they try to leave a comment. It just started doing this a couple days ago and its only happening to him. I have not put him on any kind of block list or even changed any settings with my blog.

    Could someone help me out in setting it up where he won’t be caught as spam no matter what he post?

    Help! Akismet is catching a regular comment as spam!

    Don’t worry, if you see a regular comment on your Akismet page, just click the “Not Spam” checkbox and submit and the comment will be sent back to Akismet as a mistake. The system will learn from your submission, though it may take a day or so in some cases. False positives, as they’re called, are extremely rare and we watch them closely.

    There is no way to add them to a whitelist in Akismet, since it works off Akismet’s internal database, and otherwise, any spammer could add themselves to the whitelist.
