Ebay Item Specifics

    Hi there,
    I’ve had a client question regarding the entry of “Ebay Item Specifics” into WP-lister.
    When they choose their primary ebay category it pulls in a list of specifics (e.g. Clothes, Shoes & Accessories » Men’s Clothing » T-Shirts will bring up Size, brand, design etc.
    They are asking why “garment care” shows up as a dropdown menu but none of the others do. If you start typing, you then get a choice of what to enter.

    Could these all become dropdowns?

    Hi Henry,

    the reason why “garment care” is an actual drop down menu (without the ability to enter your own text) is that eBay only accepts these specific values for that attribute.

    For other item specifics fields, eBay allows you to submit your own custom value – some of these do come with a list of recommended values, which is what you see when you start typing in one of these fields, while others just let you enter anything.

    I’m afraid to see the recommended values of a field which actually lets you enter anything you like, you have to start typing. It has to be either a drop down selector with fixed values or a textfield with autocomplete enabled but without drop down.
