    Hi Amitramani,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Here’s your answer:
Enhanced Ecommerce data can only be sent with with some hit like pageview or Event. We are using the footer event to send product impressions data.

Let us know if you need any other help

    Thank you,

Thanks, but I am still unclear about the role of this “footer” hit. It shows up in GA under Top Events….But there is no real significance to it, since there is not product data attached to it.

There are numerous such events but no associated product data. Do you think the product ID should be sent along with it?

    Most of the Google Analytics code snippet are followed with a pageview hit; yet another pageview hit after the product impressions would increment the pageviews unnecessarily;

Also, the event is sent with nonInteraction flag as 1 to take care that it doesn’t affect the bounce rate. We will consider adding meta-data to the event in our upcoming releases.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi, amitramani,

Forgive me for writing to this post, but I couldn’t figure out how to send you an email and the original post has been closed.

Are you still using Woocommerce? When you imported from OSCommerce did you just duplicate the database on your localhost and used that to upload the information via the plugin Woocommerce osCommerce import?

    Thanks,

    Peter

    Hi, posword
    Sorry for the late response.

I had used the plugin Woocommerce oscommerce plugin located at
    https://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/woocommerce-oscommerce-import

I did not duplicate the database on my localhost. I worked on the live server. I did make a couple of changes to the plugin code, because it was creating 2 copies of each product category. So I had to change the code to not do it.

Let me know if you still have questions.
