[resolved] 2013 Events Don't Work (6 posts)

When I click a link to go to an event this year, it works fine, but when I click an event in 2013, it gives a 404 error. You can see it at http://www.hawaiitheatre.com/upcoming-events/

I tried resetting the permalinks settings, disabled all the plugins, and changed the theme to the default, but it still doesn't work. Any ideas?

can I know what EM version is this? Also, could it be that you don't have an event for 2013 or can you try to create one?

The version is 5.2.8. Yes, there are events in 2013 in the month I clicked. They are filled out the same way as the 2012 events, but for some reason don't display.

What are you using for displaying by month? We don't have a specific page for this, so I'm guessing you've added something in your template to account for this?

I don't see any 2013 events on your pages, so I'm assuming the event links themselves, work, just the 'events for a month' page.

btw, cool site, we're putting together a collection of sites to showcase with our new upcoming site (everyone's invited), can we use this?

It looks like someone else may have modified the script, which makes it hard to diagnose. I've figured out that if I change the published date for the event's page to 2013, the events for 2013 appear, but not the ones for 2012. Any idea where I should start looking for this problem?

Sure you can use the site in your showcase.

I'd imagine so, given your changes there.
one quick/easy way is to rename the folder wp-content/yourtheme/plugins/events-manager

so that no templates are used, then it'll probably revert to the normal EM view. However, I don't think that'll work in terms of showing the specific range of dates, since as mentioned before our default templates do do this.

My guess is the theme you want is in yourtheme/plugins/events-manager/events-list.php, but hard to say for sure

Thanks for the include, if you'd like a custom description of your site or some custom link text (seo) send us a msg here (pls add a link to this page so we know it's you) - http://wp-events-plugin.com/contact-us/
