Support » Fixing WordPress » Sidebar drops with increased number of posts

  • Hi,

I have searched posts and debugged for hours now… I give up and am asking for help.

The problem: My sidebar drops and the background disappears when I increase the number of posts to display on the home page.

I believe this happened when I added the Read More.. link on all my posts so that only excerpts display on our front page. Now I cannot increase the number of posts. I added the read more link simply by inserting it into the posts and saving. Ironic given that I created the excerpts so that I could display more posts on the front page.

Any ideas on how to fix? What code/style could be the culprit?
It works fine when I choose to display 10 or fewer posts on the page.
But any increase over that and the page looks funky. I lose the white background and the sidebar drops to the bottom of the page (still stays right though)

    Thanks,
    Jason

  • How did you add the “read more” link? Did you modify the theme directly? If so, what file did you edit, and can you list the code here?
