so, I've edited a few of my theme's files - so far only the header, footer, sidebar. What do I need to watch out for if I change themes, or update the current theme, and/or when WP itself is updated.

Posted 1 year ago #Always make a back-up of your SQL (daily to every other day depending on posting frequency), export your XML(weekly/monthly as 2nd backup), keep back-up of theme files, and keep notes of your settings, your plugins and their configurations.
