Site reverted back to two weeks ago.. changes gone?

    Hey guys,

    ive been using wordpress for a while now, and im currently working on a site for someone.

    ive spent 30-40 hours on it in the past week, and ive logged on there only to find that everything ive done has been wiped- themes, plugins, everything- to the state that it was a couple of weeks back.

    The themes and plugins are still installed when i check the files, but not showing on my dashboard.

    Any help with this is much appreciated, as I dont have a clue whats going on?

    Sounds like the web host crashed and they restored an old backup. I’d ask them what happened. Doesn’t sound like anything you did.

    It’s a good idea to have your own backups: try http://wordpress.org/plugins/backwpup/

    Tara, since last Tuesday, I installed a new theme, a number of plugins, and completely redesigned the site, custom css and all.

    Im assuming its nothing my end- and I have a backup from early yesterday morning so im hoping I can upload that and fix it.

    sondogtech, I have a feeling that might be it- something, somewhere was restored to a previous state- and not by me.

    Apparently thats exactly what happened, and the hosting company sorted it out, fingers crossed it doesnt happen again!
