Prior to installing Cookie Law Info, I installed the plugin “Stronger Admin Bar” and doubled the font size on my admin bar so I could actually read it without my nose touching the screen.

When I installed Cookie Law Info, the Cookie Bar took up half that real estate and shrank my admin bar back down to where I can barely read it (when visiting site only; no effect in admin panel view where there was no cookie bar). Unfortunately, when the cookie bar was hidden upon accept, the font did not go back to the old size, but instead stayed shrunk.

Is there a way to either (a) keep the cookie bar from shrinking the font in the first place, or (b) resizing the font upon being accepted?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

There are a probably few points worth noting which might help you here:

    – If you’re using this with a plugin that alters the CSS of the admin bar then it may have caused a knock-on issue with the cookie law info CSS but it is probably the other CSS that is the issue, not Cookie Law Info. If you disable that plugin and check cookie law info with e.g. 2012 or any other official WP theme, it works.

    – Cookie Law Info doesn’t change the CSS of anything else on the page, only the CSS of the cookie bar itself. If you have a CSS related problem elsewhere on the site it isn’t this plugin that is changing it

    – The cookie bar doesn’t show on the WordPress dashboard, nor is it supposed to (not sure if you were expecting that or not)

I think the solution for you is to check the CSS that you have. If you have customised the CSS yourself it might be the cause of the issue. To solve this, you’ll need to experiment with the custom CSS of your theme.

    Hope that helps

Thanks. You are probably right. But since everything is working everywhere else, I’ll just live with bizarre change. It’s not worth worrying about if it’s not an easy fix.
