    i am working on a page on my site i want to use as a "classified's" section.
    http://s364650556.websitehome.co.uk/classifieds-for-sale-or-wanted/
    i would like it to have 3 rows of content rather then content and sidebar.
    i have read hacks about how to make it 3 column by adding another sidebar but that is not what i am looking for.
    is there a code snippet ro something similar that would allow me to have 3 columns across with content?
    thanks
    wayne

    seriously consider to create a child theme of Twenty Eleven to work with - directly editing the default theme Twenty Eleven can lead to all sorts of problems - the least of them being the loss of all customisations when you next upgrade the theme.

    ---
    create a page template: http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages#Page_Templates

    possibly start with a copy of sidebar-page.php;
    change the * Template Name: to something new, for instance Three Columns;
    remove <?php get_sidebar(); ?>.

    how far you need to edit the other coding depends on where the contents of the three columns is supposed to come from.

    that makes no sense whatsoever to me, there has to be a css snippet that can be inserted that will allow me to have 3 rows of rolling content on a single page with no sidebars
