2.0.11 slideshow navigation bar? stop imagebrowser from jumping after clicki

I haven’t been able to find answers to these questions for Nextgen Gallery 2.0.11. Is there a way to put a navigation/caption bar in the java slideshow? Also, my slides are not showing in the correct order. And…if I use imagebrowser instead of slideshow, the imagebrowser jumps to the top of the page every time I click on NEXT, so that I have to scroll down to see the next photo. And lastly, I see no difference in any of the lightbox settings I choose. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
