• I searched online and only found ways to fix the problems with previous versions of wordpress. I’d like to remove the blogroll/meta from my blog. I’d like to keep the files somewhere I just don’t want them showing up on my blog.

Also is it possible to use an image in/as the header? How would I do that?

  • Assuming your theme supports widgets (the default one does), go to Design > Widgets and you can select what you want displayed in the sidebar. If you have no widgets selected, or if your theme doesn’t support widgets (I think most do), WordPress will display the contents of wp-content/themes/themename/sidebar.php. You can put comment tags around the blogroll part in there (<!– and –>).

Try these instructions for changing the header image. If you have any questions about that, let me know.

So I got rid of the blogroll and then realised that I wanted a link bar on my page so I had to put the blogroll back on and then created a separate link list. How do I get the link list to appear but keep the blogroll from being there? If possible that is.
